Saint Stephen’s Café – the café for the community of Bristol’s Old City

Our lovely café is open serving a range of delicious and nutritious food and drinks.

We are delighted to be working with Brandon Trust, a Bristol based charity that supports people with learning disabilities.  Brandon Trust runs a number of enterprises, ranging from a farm to potteries and cafes, which provide a range of training, work experience and employment opportunities for the people they support.

Saint Stephen’s Café offers opportunities for people with learning disabilities to gain training in a busy catering environment and is also providing a number of employment opportunities for people who have completed the training.

The Brandon team have an exciting menu which changes daily and includes freshly made sandwiches, salads, hot dishes, homemade soups and delicious cakes made by the team, as well as one of the few places in the centre where you can enjoy a full English breakfast.  Where possible ingredients are sourced locally, including fresh fruit and vegetables from Brandon’s own Elm Tree Farm in Stapleton.  Coffee is supplied by Bristol based Brunel Coffee and tubs of the gorgeous Marshfield Ice Cream are also available.

In the past the café has hosted musical performances which complemented the Monday concerts in the Church.  Throughout the year the café will host a number of events including exhibitions of local artists’ work and events for the various communities that make up Bristol’s Old City.  Keep up to date with the events in the café through their Facebook page -

The café has signed up to the Bristol Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme and also welcomes dogs.

The café is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
