Creation & Spirituality

Day by day news reports carry stories about climate change, famine and population depletion and growth and their impact on human life and creation. We speak of the environment as a way of gathering these responses and issues. Christian inheritance speaks of our relationships.

Saint Stephens aims to give voice to our concerns and to connect with Biblical wisdom as we explore our responses to threats and consequences of human behaviour. Programmes to raise awareness of developments in climate change and in global economics will feature in the events programme. Forums to uncover our motivations and reveal our addictions have stimulated dialogue, for example about the oil economy.

Beneath all this is the revelation that the environment is the gift of the Creator. Our relationships with all of life, connect with the divine nature. Jesus places us in a relationship with God as creator, Redeemer and Sustainer.
