Saint Stephen’s hosts a weekly meditation practice with Rev Deborah Frazer from St Luke’s, Barton Hill, Bristol.
Every Tuesday 5.30 – 6.30 pm starting Tuesday 1 November.
A short talk about meditation is followed by a time of silent meditation.
Rev Deborah Frazer says: “Anyone interested is most welcome; no previous experience of any kind is needed.”
According to the World Community for Christian meditation (WCCM):
“Meditation is a universal spiritual wisdom and a practice that we find at the core of all the great religious traditions, leading from the mind to the heart. It is a way of simplicity, silence and stillness.
…in recent times a great recovery of the contemplative dimension of Christian faith has been happening. Central to this now is the rediscovery of a practice of meditation in the Christian tradition that comes to us from the early Christian monks – the Desert Fathers and Mothers.”
