
Bristol city centre’s new retail chaplain serves shops and offices including in Cabot Circus, Quakers Friars, Broadmead and the Mall.
Bristol City Centre Chaplaincy Trust appointed Rev Andy Sewell in October 2010 followed the retirement of Rev Bob Mills, in post for 22 years.
Saint Stephen’s Canon Tim Higgins is chair and a trustee of the Bristol charity.
The Bristol City Centre Chaplaincy Trust welcomed Rev Andy Sewell on 4 November 2010 in a service blessing his work.
The welcome was in the New Room. The Methodist chapel, built by John Wesley in 1739, is in the heart of Broadmead’s shopping centre on Horsefair.
The Rev Andy Sewell said to BBC Bristol: “I listen to people, and let them express themselves and feel valued.”
