New addition to Saint Stephen’s Cafe menu

Inventive cafe manager, Edna Yeffet Summerell, is always looking at new ways to tempt cafe visitors.

So, as well as the freshly-made soup that changes from day-to-day depending on seasonality, Edna Yeffet Summerell now offers Delicious Tortilla Wraps.

The Halloumi and hummus tortilla wraps is seriously tasty, bringing together a medley of finely-chopped fresh herbs with toasted halloumi cheese, Edna’s famous homemade hummus, olives, green salad sweet tomato and chilli relish.

Tortilla wraps can also be made with falafel, just-hummus, gherkins, fresh aromatic salad, green chilli relish and more…

A pair of fresh wraps for £3.95 – you can’t ask for more!

Edna Yeffet Summerell is giving a cooking demonstration of Yemenite pita bread (“a bit like Indian parata bread,” she says) at the Jewish Food Festival on Sunday 22 May, at Red Maids’ School, Bristol. We will keep you posted…

Near shops and offices, you can grab a cup of (real) coffee and meet for lunch, with a seasonal soup changed daily, and dishes from middle-eastern and ayurvedic traditions.

In the heart of Bristol city centre, just-off Corn Street near Broadmead’s shopping centre, Saint Stephen’s Cafe serves homemade food using seasonal, Fairtrade, local and organic ingredients wherever possible.

More, including menu and food reviews are here.

Saint Stephen’s Cafe – the parish church in the heart of Bristol – is open every weekday 10am – 3.30pm.
