STOP PRESS (14.12.2010) and here is a detail of the fruits of the workshops

Participants will help create a major piece of work of sculpture to be displayed in Bristol on the theme of slavery.
The abolition of slavery and reconciliation
There will also be creative input from artist-in-residence, Graeme Evelyn, who is currently working on the Reconciliation Reredos, a major commission at Saint Stephen’s, inspired by contemporary responses to our slave trade legacy.
Participants will be asked to respond creatively to the theme of Reconciliation, with Saint Stephen’s own rich decoration as inspiration.
We will explore what the faith of many traditions has to teach us about healing old wounds and rebuilding community.
Our workshops are free to young people (and comply with Saint Stephen’s Child Protection and Health and Safety policies).
