Saint Stephen’s looks towards Easter 2011

May 26, 2010

Every Thursday from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm, Canon Tim Higgins hosts critical.mass for reflection, discussion and contemplation.

Following critical.mass’s January – February series, the power of Reconciliation, the weekly gathering looks towards Holy Week and the Great Story of the Paschal Mystery.

Thursday 10 March
Ash Wednesday and reality

Thursday 17 March
St Patrick and Celtic connections

Thursday 24 March
Annunciation and New Calls…

critical.mass regularly celebrates with the bread and wine, Jesus in communion: a way open and inclusive, accepting and fresh.

critical.mass follows a pattern committed to seeing the gifts of life in the light of Christ; the wisdom that reveals a practice of reconciliation and resistance to injustice.

Linking our lived experience with contemplative insight moves us towards action.

So join critical.mass as it looks at stories of work and relationships, art and creation.

These stories provide new opportunities for renewal and transformation reflected in the Gospel – with themes connecting Biblical wisdom with daily life.

critical.mass starts 5.30 – 6.00 pm in Saint Stephen’s Cafe for a bowl of soup and discussion then moves to the church for meditation, chanting, sounds, song and mass.

No need to book. Just come along. All welcome.
